We count our years at each birthday, but God tells us to number our days (Ps. 90:12). There was an article entitled, “If You Are 35, You Have 500 Days to Live.” The idea is when you subtract the time spent sleeping, working, and other miscellaneous time-stealers, in the next thirty-six years (based upon a life expectancy of 71) you only have five hundred days left to spend as you wish.
